Great question but tough to answer. The Archon Stryk B does have a significantly lower axis which should help you, though most Walther pistols have the same short-reset trigger as the Type B (0.1" or 2.5mm). The Type B also has a reduced recoil and muzzle flip compared to other modern polymers. Both Walthers and the Type B have trigger pulls just over 6 lbs. Unfortunately, I don't think the Type B can handle a red dot unless you invest in customizing it with a permanent alteration.

At my age I need a red dot optical 'capability' on my handgun without having to mill the slide. I shoot for marksmanship so I'm also sensitive to recoil flip and trigger pull weight and reset. Walther has, to-date, been my choice of handgun but its high bore axis produces more flip than I like. So, can the Archon B accommodate a red dot optical and how does its trigger stats compare with the Walther's?

I agree, just got it a couple months ago but am already very impressed with its design and ergonomics. I’ve owned over 40-50 of various designs 9mm, anything from the classic Sig P-210 to HK P7/9 series, etc and this is definitely one of my favorite 9mm for now. It might not have the superb accuracy of the 210 but all in all, it’s a unique piece with plenty of positive attributes for ownership. You WILL enjoy shooting it.

I agree, I hope this pistol catches on bigtime. It is quite a step above most stryker fired pistols. The Austrian brand pistol feels like a klunky piece of wood, don't dismiss this pistol because of the $849 price tag. It is worth it. It is the best/fastest on target per "site picture" I own.
