I've been a revolver nut for most of my life, and only occasionally fired semi autos that belonged to shooter friends. I like the simplicity of revolvers, but after firing a friend's Glock 17 gen 4, I immediately became interested in owning one. The 1911 is a great firearm design for sure, but I was never really comfortable operating one. The Glock is as simple to operate and as reliable as any of my revolvers, and the accuracy out of the box is quite good.
