In reply to Todd. I agree. I own a t3 lite in 30-06 that is a fantastic rifle. At around $900.00 I would hardly call them a “cheap budget gun”. Shoots lights out at 100 sight in. Could not be happier.

I would like to add my indignation that this rifle is a “cheap budget gun” while I do understand that prices are higher in Canada where I live, I find it arrogant and ill informed to describe what will be a $3500 kit when done as a “cheap budget gun”.
A cheap budget gun is a Marlin 66 with a Tasco scope this rifle is anything but.

I just ordered my new T3X 20″ CTR in .223 Rem with extra mag and Tikka compensator with a Magpul QC bipod, Bushnell Elite 4200 3-9×40 and leupold precision rings.
After reading this I am really stoked to get it all together.

I have a Tikka T3X in 6.5 Creedmoor and need to shorten the pull length. Can someone please tell me what is the size of the 2 butt plate screws? T?? so that I don’t mangle them when trying to remove.

I won a TX3 at a Safari Club event. Thought it was just another budget plastic stocked rifle. The TX3 is one of the best rifles I have ever shouldered, mine is in 270 WSM, and I put classic 3-9 Leupold European scope with a custom mil dot reticle. The two are perfectly mated, Just got back from range, my handloads with Barnes TSX and RL 15 shoot great, as well as factory Hornady Outfitter series. Both chronograph at 3100 FPS with 140 grain solid copper bullets. I will be using this as my primary rifle in Colorado’s second season for Elk and Mule Deer this October

In reply to Sean W. What? Sean are you serious about" discovering these rifles for us"? That would have been fine if this had been written 10 years or so ago or maybe a little longer . I am not trying to sounds like a jerk but Tikka has been around for quite awhile. I owned my first one in 7MM-08 at least 10 years ago. They are great guns,accurate,lightweight but they didn't just show up here in the USA last September.
