It has to be user failure..did you clean all the oil and grease off when you got it? Let me tell you, i have shot many many many shotguns in my lifetime. I went into Cabelas to get a Benneli Monte or Franchi Affiinity, the guy at the gun counter sold me on getting the Beretta A300 Outlander. I can tell you i have never had a more 'Perfectly' reliable and great shooting shotgun. In 4 yrs I have put EVERY kind of shotshell from the lightest to the heaviest Magnums. I tried mixing shells, and every possible configuration and it never fails, never. I will say, i do clean my shotguns often as i somehow don't mind doing it. It's fired in every kind of weather in Minnesota too..

Hi Ben, Thanks for reaching out. It's tough to say exactly at what temperature the Outlander will stop performing as it should. Your best bet is to simply experiment and take the necessary precautions as you would for any gun in the extreme cold.

You need a gas seal. Some of the A300 shipped without one and the gun will not cycle properly. (or at all) Send it back to Beretta, Accomack, MD. They will take care of it.
It's a simple part.. I got my shotgun back within two weeks and it now works flawlessly.
Before the fix.. I was disappointed, After the fix.. I love the firearm. Low recoil, a pleasure to shoot.
