Awesome fowl game guns actually I myself preferred the older Franchi's shotgun especially in the 28g for qual & rabbit hunting for such a light shotgun the recall isn't as bad as one would think? But in today's world where the hunter isn't a bit worried on how his gun preformed or how straight it may shoot? Instead its gotten to be a fashioned show keeping up with the Joneses and instead how much it had costs mainly for bragging rights only? " prettiness doesn't bring home the bacon but the new age hunter likes to be seen with a 5500$ shotgun thinking it paints a picture of how good of a Hunter this hunter w/the 5500$ shotgun looks or may be? Lol. Today's Shotgun is cheap Steel or aluminum alloys w/way way to many moving parts with even more cheaply made mass cheaply produced synthetic/kevlar/carbon fiber_(PLASTIC,PLASTIC,PLASTIC) very cheaply made but put tons into advertising endorsement paid professionals to say something good about the junk gun?(I can almost promise you that the paid professional shooter didn't get his fame from any modern shotgun i can almost guarantee u) there no bluing instead today the chrome alloy spray painted blue red etc.. Compared to the vintage days the guns where made of either good old American Union backed or Belgium/German forged cold blued tempered Chrome Molly steel, that's Blued to the bone with all quality steel inner parts also not one piece of plastic! Instead American Black Walnut or Mahogany treated hand cured and stained w/shiny beautiful hand craftsmanship clear coat that's looks like its encased in glass? Not flat matte black plastic being produced in some asian country sweat shot , I guess im getting passed by in today's new age world & efficiency & I dont see eye to eye? But give me a Remington M31 12g pump (trap grade be even better?) And get one those thousands$ guns put them side by side & start shooting non stop until the first one starts to fail? I can bet you? It won't be the old Model31 shotgun!! God bless you and your family's

It's a rounded t-shaped piece of plastic we need remove after dove season and re-install after quail season. Unless we duck hunt and only have one shotgun. Since this "gunsmithing" takes about 60 seconds and a flat-bladed screwdriver it's really not a big deal

Hi David, thanks for reaching out. For legal reasons I think it's best if Franchi parts are installed by a qualified and trained gunsmith
