In reply to Leo. Held the Gen 5 model 19 today. I would have purchased it on the spot except for the mag cutout on the front of grip. That is a major showstopper. I’ll stick with my Gen 3.

I have a friend that carries the Glock 26 and has carried it for the better part of 15 years and he loves it, but he also carries his 19 at timesl and as he explains it to me is that it all depends on the day and what he is wearing. According to him carrying either/or comes down to preference. I truly hope this helps you in your decision.

No. The individuals size has less to do with it than the way the person will be carrying it. The 26 is the same caliber, with less barrel length and less grip length. Both of those make it more challenging for any shooter.

Great article. This Glock 19 Gen 4 review really helped me in deciding what carry gun to buy. Do you think the Glock 26 is a better option for a smaller size person?

It’s always been funny to me how Glock calls its recalls “upgrades”. Glocks are good guns, and I own a 19 myself. But nothing is perfect, including Glock.
