Hi Larry,
I’ve seen some folks swap their recoil spring for a lighter one. I’ve also seen slide pull charging handles, which are basically a ring that attaches to the slide cover plate at the back of your gun and makes it much easier to pull the slide back.

I have had it for about 5 years. Is there anything that can be done about the hard racking of the slide without breaking it in (shooting 200 rounds). I will be 80 July 19. It wasn’t any easier when I was 75.
