Hi, Thanks for reaching out! Most of the differences between the pro and standard models are either increased capacities, slightly larger controls, different trigger options, and slightly enhanced grip and frame material. Most pro models also have an improved sighting system and optional night sights.

The taraus g2c is a weapon on par with s&w 2.0 in all respects and in some cases better. All manufactures make lemons at times , either on friday or monday preceeding a holiday. I clean every weapon i purchase before I shoot it and lightly oil it., common sense., also use decent ammo. I have S&W and Taraus weapons . When I operate the slide on the S&W and lock it, to get it to release takes a man and a boy to operate that slide release and im sure others have that problem. No so with the Taraus, smooth! So lets kee the cards on the table, because taraus has awakened all commers when it comes to the G2c.

The article says it all, over a thousand rounds of every funky reloads and ammo you can imagine through this pistol and not one malfunction. Trigger is a little funky, but a good little shooter.

Less than 5 boxes (250rds) through gun G2 .40 cal. and safety in the trigger assembly broke in half. I returned pistol to Taurus and they said it would be 12 weeks for repair, I called Customer Service after 12 weeks it wasn't even started in addition they couldn't give me a date they would start the repairs.

Bottom Line is that they have so many repairs that it takes 12+ weeks to replace a trigger, that's a lot of poor quality!

Bought one for my 5 year old grandson, who is now 10. His is tan polymer and black top. I really liked it. I put it back until he is just a little older. So, today, at Academy, they had them for $199.00 for the all black. Wouldn't you know it, they only had one of the rarer brown polymer bottom and black top left in stock. This firearm is normally $189.00...however, I purchased it for the sales price...$199.00, since it was the last one in stock. Sweeeeet! Also, got an additional year on my NRA membership FREE. BONUS!!!

I purchased one November 15th. And it has truly made a better impression on me than my glock g26. I definitely recommend this gun to anyone who is looking for a nice concealed carry gun or a home Self defense.

I bought a Taurus G2 Millennium and right out of the box wouldn't fire. While at the indore range i asksd one of the spotters to see if they could make it work and still it wouldn't work. Now i have to send it to Florida for repair. I called and said i bought a NEW. Pistol not a repaired pistol. They refused to acknowledge that fact and said it's up to the repair shop whether or not it gets replaced. What a disappointment!
