The notes they have on the prod page say recommended for use only with 2.5″ shells…. I thought the super mag was 3.5″ capable barrels.

In reply to Eric W. Hi Eric, thanks for reaching out. The problem is that the "police" gas system is more similar to the Rem 1100 series. One of the only ways to potentially get what you're looking for is to get a Rem barrel seal activator. This can be a bit tricky so it's best to contact Remington directly. Best of luck!

Hi Nate, I’m trying to mod my new 11-87 police variant to be able to shoot 3.5″ shells. Do you have a recommendation for a barrel, or is this shotgun never going to accept 3.5 due to other issues? I’m new to shooting, so pardon my ignorance.
