The manual addressed steel shot and only says: "DO NOT SHOOT STEEL SHOT THROUGH A FULL CHOKED BARREL"

Your comment about Stoeger and not shooting steel shot if way off the mark.

In reply to <a href="https://gunivore.com/shotguns/stoeger-condor-overunder-shotgun-review/#comment-11990">Bill Warner</a>.

Bill,
I bought a Condor for my son, First time out quail hunting we had the same thing happen. lost a lot of birds due to the second barrel not firing. I was out shooting this last weekend and one of the guys had bought(what he could afford) a Stoeger with interchangeable barrel's. same problem firing pin not striking hard enough to discharge the round. I would suggest to anyone thinking about buying a Steoger Condor to wait and buy a better made gun.

I got my "repaired" Condor back that was not firing the shells. Every primer on the shells was imprinted but the firing pin was not striking the primer hard enough to get the shell to go off. I got back the gun and it still will not fire. Same problem. A friend tells me he has a buddy with the exact same problem. I have had numerous shotguns of all brands over the years and this is the worse ever. Extremely disappointed too when I called their customer service and was treated like it was my fault. It cost me a hunt the first time this happened because I did not have a spare shotgun with me. The second time just made me mad.

My Condor is About 4 months old. problem is the gun will fire the first barrel but not fire the second barrel. apparently this is an on going problem. I removed the butt stock and discovered that the machining on some of the parts was so bad that I had to take a diamond file and remove the jagged edges. so far this seems to have solved the problem. I hope I do not have any further issues.
